HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped for coach Richard Infusino at Rockford’s Lutheran HS... he was listed by the Chicago Sun-Times as one of its ‘Top Five’ players... was three-time All-Upstate Illini East Conference and received all-state mention... four year starter on both offense and defense... had a 65-3 record in wrestling and a state championship as a junior and fourth as a senior... three-time all-conference in wrestling... lettered eight times in football, wrestling and baseball... Honor roll.

PERSONAL: Majoring in special education... No. 1 sports highlight was "winning state wrestling as a junior"... son of Jeff and Deb Spears.
