EIU: 2008 Outlook: Slashing runner and solid receiver out of the backfield that will see playing time and may start... 2007: Starting running back in first four games of the season before injuries limited playing time over the course of the season... rushed for 612 yards on 106 carries... had lone 100 yard game against Tennessee State with 127 yards on 15 carries... scored four touchdowns including a pair at Indiana State... also caught 17 passes for 121 yards... was 1-for-1 on passing attempts completing a halfback pass for an 8-yard touchdown at Tennessee State... 2006: Redshirted season... 2005: Team’s No. 2 rusher with 87 carries for 318 yards... accounted for 495 all-purpose yards, third best on the team... 2004: Appeared in four games as a ‘true’ freshman rushing four times for 17 yards and catching four passes for 52 yards... he also returned three kickoffs for 31 yards.

HIGH SCHOOL: Second Team All-Broward County for coach Frank Hepler at Plantation HS which was 10-2 and district champion... was the MVP of the Broward County North-South All-Star Game, competed in the Broward-Dade County All-Star game and led Broward County with 20 touchdowns as a senior... earned the school’s Brian Piccolo Award.

PERSONAL: Majoring is physical education... No. 1 sports highlight was “against Tarvalle (HS) had four rushes for 139 yards and scored five touchdowns (one TD on a pass reception)”... son of Lawana Bess.
