EIU: 2008 Outlook: Will open season as back-up kicker and punter... 2007: Appeared in six games as a punter/kicker... 1-of-2 in extra point attempts... had four punts for a 37.0 average with two pinned inside the 20... 2006: Place kicker for all 13 games connecting on 12-of-16 attempts (75 percent)... hit a season long of 47 yards at Samford... had one kick blocked... was 33-of-38 on extra point attempts... also served as team punter averaging 36.1 yards per kick... string of 10 straight games with at least one field goal (carried over from 2005 season)... second on team in scoring with 69 points... 2005: Named to All-OVC Newcomer team taking over place kicker duties as a true freshman... hit on 9-of-13 (69.2 percent)... season long was 40 yards at Tennessee State... was 35-of-39 on extra points... also had kick off duties in three games averaging 55.2 yards... second on team in scoring with 62 points.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped for coach Dale Guillford at Idaho Falls Skyline HS... was second team all-state... earned First Team All-High Country Conference honors as both a kicker and defensive back.

PERSONAL: Communication studies major... No. 1 sports highlight was “kicking two 40 yard field goals at Tennessee State”... son of Steve and Becky Yates.
