BILLY PARRISH’S COLLEGIATE CAREER
JUNIOR (2007-08): Appeared in 27 games making one start at Bowling Green... averaged 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game... averaged 11.6 minutes per game off the bench... season high four points in five different games... pulled down season high five rebounds at Jacksonville State... had two games with two steals.
SOPHOMORE (2006-07): Appeared in all 30 games with seven starts... averaged 2.2 points and 2.5 rebounds... season high 9 points against Tennessee Martin with season high 9 rebounds coming against Louisiana Monroe... Shot 80 percent from free throw line... averaged 3.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 20.2 minutes during seven starts.
FRESHMAN (2005-06): Appeared in all 27 games averaging 16.3 minutes per contest...made three starts in early December including starts in first two Ohio Valley Conference games...scored season-high 10 points in first career start against Tennessee Tech (Dec. 8), hitting 3-of-7 from the floor including 2-for-2 from 3-point range...pulled down a season-high seven rebounds on two occasions, the last against Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 14).
HIGH SCHOOL: Played high school basketball for coach Todd Sutton at Naperville’s Neuqua Valley High...earned honorable mention All-Upstate Eight conference honors as a junior...averaged 11 points and six rebounds per game as NVHS posted a 14-14 record...three year starter.
PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was “winning the Nike Peach Jam”...credits his parents, Lawrence and Cherita Parrish, with influencing his career “because they always came to my games”...athlete he most admires is Dwayne Wade because “he works hard everyday”...enjoys playing video games... majoring in history.
