2022-23 - OVC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR

2022-23 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 27 games during the 2022-23 season with 11 total starts including ten final games... was named the Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year after leading all OVC Freshmen in scoring at 7.5 points per game... increased that scoring total in OVC play to 9.2 points per game... was named the OVC Freshman of the Week five times during the season as the Panthers won ten OVC Freshman of the Week awards as a team during the season... ranked third in the OVC in 3-point field goal percentage at 42.7 percent knocking down 44-of-103 3-pointers... made a season high five 3-pointers going 5-of-8 at Little Rock to finish with 17 points... scored season high 17 points three times during the season with game at Little Rock, at Southern Indiana and against St. Mary of the Woods... had ten total double figure scoring games for the season... pulled down season high nine rebounds against Tennessee State just missing a double-double with 12 points... added two blocks, 15 steals and 34 assists for the season while averaging 1.8 rebounds per game... 

HIGH SCHOOL: Shooting guard from Westfield, Ind., that played for coach Shane Sumpter at Westfield HS...  averaged 16.5 points per game as a senior knocking down a single season school record 85 3-pointers during the year... added four rebounds, two assists and one steal per game as was an Indiana Large School All-State selection...  was named to the Indianapolis Star All Super Team (Top 15 Players) after leading school to the Indiana Class 4A Regional Championship game as they finished the season with a 22-7 record...  was named to the All-Regional team as a senior and to the All-Sectional team as both a junior and senior...  was a three-time All-Conference selection...  A 1,000 point career scorer in high school that was selected to play in the 2022 Hoosier All-Star Classic... 

Misc.: Son of former Evansville standout Scott Haffner who played two seasons in the NBA...
