SENIOR (2011-12): Played in all 29 games with 28 starts... second team All-Ohio Valley Conference... second team NABC All-District... led EIU in scoring at 15.9 points per game which ranked sixth in the OVC... ranked second in OVC in free throw percentage (85.8) and ninth in assists (88)... ranked 35th in the NCAA in free throw percentage... twice named OVC Player of the Week... scored a season high 31 points at Southeast Missouri... had seven games with 20 or more points including 26 point night in final game of EIU career at Eastern Kentucky... season high eight assists in win over Maine... made 10-of-11 free throws in win over Northern Illinois.
JUNIOR (2010-11): Only player to start all 29 games for EIU during the season... named second team NABC All-District... led team in scoring at 14.5 points per game which ranked seventh in the OVC... hit 90.4 percent from the free throw line which was second in the OVC and 8th in the NCAA... ended season as Panthers career leader in free throw percentage (87.4), which was third on the OVC career list... made 13-of-13 free throws in ESPNU Bracketbuster win at Toledo... scored in double figures in 25 of 29 games with a season high 29 points against Tennessee Tech (1/27) and Southeast Missouri (2/5)... first career double-double against Tennessee Tech with 29 points and 10 rebounds... hit game winning shot to beat Murray State on the road... ranked 7th in the OVC in assists with 98.
SOPHOMORE (2009-10): Came on strong at the point guard position starting all 31 games… averaged 10.3 points per game to rank second on the team as he opened the season with a 21 point night in a win at Toledo… would post five total games with 20 or more points including a season high 24 points at Chicago State… led the OVC in free throw percentage at 87.5 percent which ranked 20th in the NCAA and landed 4th on the EIU single season list… had a string of 19 straight made free throws during the season… led team with 105 assists and ranked 51st in the NCAA in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.19-to-1… had a season-high 9 assists against Eastern Kentucky (2/13) while passing out 42 assists compared to just 10 turnovers in the final month of the season.
FRESHMAN (2008-09): Appeared in 29 games with a start against Missouri Valley College... averaged just under 3 points per game with a season high of 10 at Southeast Missouri (1/10)... hit 79 percent from the line including a big free throw to cap a three point play to seal win over Western Michigan... scored in all but three games since Dec. 22.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Mike Sitter at Elgin High School… named fourth team All-State by Illinois High School Basketball Coaches Association… participated in IBCA All-Star game… two-time first team All-Upstate Eight Conference selection… two-time All-Area by Daily Herald… averaged 17 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals as a senior leading Elgin HS to a 21-10 record and appearance in the IHSA Class 4A Elite Eight… ranked 8th all-time at EHS with 1,115 career points… EHS ranked 12th in final ChicagoSports.com poll… deadly 3-point shooter who advanced to IHSA State Finals for 3-Point Showdown.
PERSONAL: Majoring in sociology… son of Jacqueline Granger and Cornell Howard… No. 1 sports highlight was playing for the Boys & Girls Club championship as a fifth grader and scoring 35 points with the flu… brother Xavier Granger played at Elgin Community College… high school teammate of current EIU running back Kenny Williams.
