EASTERN ILLINOIS:  Did not compete for cross country in 2006... ran the mile and 3,000 meters during the 2007 indoor track season... best mile time was 4:26.68 at the Northern Iowa meet... competed in the 1,500 meters during the 2007 outdoor season... best 1,500 time was 4:05.65 at the Lee Calhoun.

High School: Prepped for coaches Mike Garcia and Tony Daniel at Lanphier High School in Springfield, Ill., earning varsity letters in soccer, track and cross country… four-time All-Conference in track and cross country… National Honor Society… Academic All-Conference.

Personal: Majoring in accounting… son of Rick and Joyce Wheeler… number one personal sports highlight was “winning second year sectional cross country meet after being diagnosed with mono.”
