Chris is a sociology major... son of Kim Wesson. Prepped for coach Mick Schmidt at Burlington Central HS winning the state championship in the 800 and the 4x800 relay... he earned All-Big Northern Conference honors in both football and track... received seven letters in those two sports.... Chris is a senior middle distance runner in track… second team All-OVC in indoor 800m... placed second at OVC championships with a time of 1:53.24.. also competed in 600m and mile... first team All-OVC as member of distance medley relay team... member of team that set school record in the event at the Notre Dame Last Chance with a time of 9:45.00... scored points for 2007 OVC Outdoor championship with a third and fourth place finish in the 800m and 1500m... set a personal record in the 800m at the Vanderbilt Invite finishing second... time of 1:51.45 ranked 8th on EIU career list... ran anchor leg of 4x800 relay team that set school record at Drake Relays with a time of 7:29.43... team captain in 2006 and 2007... OVC champion in 2006 in the distance medley relay... placed 2nd in the indoor 800m (1:54.7) and outdoor 800m (1:54.82) in 2006... as a freshman in 2005, placed 3rd in both the indoor (1:53.45) and outdoor 800m run (1:52.02) and was part of the runner-up distance medley relay team indoors, earning 2nd team All-OVC honors... part of EIU’s winning distance medley relay team at the 2006 Kansas Relays... won the 2006 Indiana State Pacesetter invite in the 800m (1:51.69) and placed 4th in the 1500m run (3:54.30)... also runs on the 4x400m relay.
