2009: Andrekus played in 12 games and started three times, at Central Arkansas and versus Stony Brook and Asbury… saw action in six of the nine Valley games… scored EIU’s second goal and also assisted on Grey Genenbacher’s score in the Asbury win… put five of his eight shots on goal… went the distance in win at Central Arkansas, logging a season-high 90 minutes… averaged 66 minutes per game as a starter… logged double-figures minutes in every game he played.

2008: Andrekus was redshirted during his first season with the program.

HIGH SCHOOL: Andrekus was a three-year letter-winner for coach Eric Willson, a former Panther… team MVP as a senior… two-time team captain and a First Team All-Upstate Eight Conference selection as an upperclassman… 2007 all-sectional selection… Kane County Chronicle Fox Valley Athlete of the Week in both 2006 and 2007… St. Charles North won three straight regional titles from 2005-07 and reached the IHSA state finals in 2006… won an ‘06 national championship with his Illinois ODP 1990 team… honor roll student… also played for the Chicago Fire U-18 Academy club team.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was connecting on a game-winning penalty kick (after 26 kickers) in the ’06 super-sectional victory against Benet Academy… his teammates have been a major influence on his sports career because “we compete for the betterment of the team”… most admires his former club coach Rob Eastland with Campton United because “he made the game fun”… his brother Bradley was a three-year starter at free safety for Illinois Wesleyan University football, earning All-American honors… son of Bob and Debbie Andrekus… MAJOR: Undecided.
