REDSHIRT-SENIOR (2012): Played in 15 matches, making 12 starts… logged 1,140 minutes… took nine shots (one on goal)… played in a season-high 106 minutes against Central Arkansas on Sept. 14… named to the Summit League’s Fall Academic Honor Roll.

REDSHIRT-JUNIOR (2011): Played in 16 matches, making 16 starts… logged 1,076 minutes on the year… took nine shots (one on goal)… logged a season-high 110 minutes at IUPUI on Sept. 25.

REDSHIRT-SOPHOMORE (2010): Played in 17 matches, making six starts… logged 691 minutes on the year… took eight shots, including five shots on goal… had an assist at Central Arkansas on Oct. 13… played in a season-high 76 minutes at UIC on Oct. 27.

REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2009): Played in 11 matches, making one start… logged 244 minutes on the year… took six shots, including one shot on goal… scored one goal and had three assists… made his first collegiate start against Asbury on Oct. 26… scored his first collegiate goal against Asbury… had an assist against Stony Brook on Sept. 18 and against IPFW on Sept. 27… also tallied an assist against Drake on Nov. 4… played in a season-high 45 minutes against Asbury and Drake.

FRESHMAN (2008): Was redshirted in his first year with the program.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year varsity player… also lettered twice in wrestling… was an IHSA all-state selection as a senior… selected to the Decatur Herald and Review all-area teams… finished his career with 50 goals and 26 assists… earned Chicago Fire all-state honors and honorable mention all-academic team honors as a senior… led team to the elite eight round of the IHSA state tournament as a freshman… was an honor student… also played for the U18 Panther Soccer club team… coached by Paul Stranz.

PERSONAL: Son of Ralph and Joan McCausland… father was an All-American wrestler at EIU and was inducted into the EIU Hall of Fame in 1989… father was also the coach of the Panther wresting program for 24 years… his mother is a professor in the heath studies department at EIU… majoring in kinesiology and sports studies.
