2008: Phillips played in 17 games… saw action in every non-conference game, three Valley matches and the MVC Tournament contest against Missouri State… scored his first goal in the victory at Western Michigan, accounting for the game-winning tally… assisted on Darby Kehoe’s goal in the loss at Bradley… registered three shots in the games against Northwestern and Oral Roberts… played a season-high 47 minutes vs. Northwestern… logged 46 minutes in WMU victory.

HIGH SCHOOL: Phillips was a three-year letter-winner for coach Guy Greening… two-time team captain as an upperclassman… finished his career ranked among the FMHS all-time Top 10 in goals and assists… two-time all-district 8-5A selection: first team in 2007 and second team in 2006… most improved varsity player as a sophomore… helped lead his Dallas Texans club team (‘89-90) to the ‘07 Disney Showcase championship (top division)… also was a member of the 2006-07 Premier League Region III west championship team with the Texans.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was winning the Disney Showcase with his Texans club team… his club coach David Hudgell has been a major influence on his sports career because “he has pushed me and given me so many opportunities to show what I can do”… most admires French great Thierry Henry because “he has been my favorite player since I got into soccer and he is an outstanding player with a love for the game”… son of Randy and Barbara Phillips… MAJOR: Undecided.
