2008: ESPN the Magazine Academic All-DistrictFirst Team MVC Scholar-Athlete… Lewis played in all 19 games and started six times, including the Valley matches against Drake and Evansville… one of five Panthers to play in every game… earned Academic All-District and MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honors for the second year in a row… scored the go-ahead goal in the victory against UMKC… assisted on Alex Harrison’s goal in the victory against Central Arkansas and Brad Peters’ second goal in the draw at Western Illinois… accounted for a key team save in the second half of the scoreless draw with Oral Roberts… registered a season-high 4 shots in the win vs. UCA… averaged 51 minutes per game as a starter… played a season-high 68 minutes in the loss at Butler… Eastern was 2-0-1 when he scored during his career.
 
2007: ESPN the Magazine Third Team Academic All-AmericaNSCAA Second Team All-Region ScholarESPN the Magazine Academic All-DistrictFirst Team MVC Scholar-Athlete… Lewis played in 19 games and started 12 times, including five of the six MVC contests… his 4.0 GPA led to Academic All-America honors, becoming the program’s first such CoSIDA-chosen honoree… joined the starting lineup in time for the home opener and remained a starter until an injury in the win at Western Kentucky sidelined him for the final two games of the regular-season… returned for the MVC Tournament, logging 60-plus minutes in both contests and starting the semifinal match against Bradley… enjoyed a very productive week in mid-October, scoring his first career goal in league play in the draw with Drake and assisting on three of EIU’s next five goals… set up Brad Peters’ score at Creighton and goals by Peters and Darby Kehoe against Missouri State… one of three players to log at least 1,000 minutes and not be issued a yellow card… went the distance in the double-overtime loss at Creighton… also played 90-plus minutes in the draws against UAB and Drake… registered a season-high four shots at Evansville.
 
2006: He played in all 20 games and started the Valparaiso game… scored his first career goal late in the win at IUPUI… put both of the shots he attempted that night on goal… for the season, challenged the opposing goalkeeper with five of his seven shots... 2005: He played in 14 games and started a pair of contests at home… saw action in six of the seven MVC matches… tallied an assist on Brad Earl’s goal against Cal Poly for his first collegiate point… put three of his four shots on goal.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: He played for coach Terry Michler... helped lead Christian Brothers to the 2004 Class 3A state championship… a National Honor Society student, he ranked third out of a class of 237.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was “being invited to the national team tryout in 2000”… his father has been a major influence on his sports career for “coaching me in my early years of playing soccer”... credits his parents for “allowing me to play sports all of these years” and his coaches for “pushing me in the right direction”... member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for business students and scholars... son of Chuck and Pat Lewis...
