2013-14 ... Saw action in several free, back, breast and fly events as a senior... set season-best marks three-times at the Summit League meet...
2012-13 ... Competed in three freestyle events as well as both the 100-Back and 200-IM as a junior... also swam the third leg in the 200-Free Relay at one point in the season.
2011-12 ... Saw action in the 50, 100 and 200-Free races as a sophomore... earned his best season times at the Summit League meet... recorded the squad's second-fastest times in both the 100 and 200 events... was also an occasional member of both the 200-Free and 400-Free Relay units, seeing action at either the first or third legs of each respective event.
2010-11 ... Swam as a freestylist in the 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 events… also a member of the top 200-Free and 800-Free Relay squads, which included swimming the anchor leg in the 800 foursome.
HIGH SCHOOL ... Four-year member of both the swim and water polo units at Hinsdale South HS for coach Frank Kuchta… eight-time All-West Suburban Conference honoree… member of the 200-Free Relay team as a sophomore… qualified for state as both a junior and senior in the 200-Free Relay, 400-Free Relay and 100-Free events… two-time West Suburban All-Academic honors.
PERSONAL ... A marketing major… son of Doug & Kris Jones… born on January 31... credits his club coach, Bryan Bateman, for having a big influence on his sports career, “because he motivated me since I was 13 years old to get better and developed me into the swimmer that I am today”… also credits his high school coach, Frank Kuchta,’ “because he continued to push me outside of my comfort zone to excel.”
OUT OF THE WATER WITH ADAM ... Chose EIU “because it has the best combination of athletics and academics”… feels that some of EIU’s advantages over other schools include “the campus being relatively small, so it allows you to go to any class in a matter of minutes… also the classroom sizes are smaller so it is easier to pay attention”… enjoys basketball, water polo and golf… a hidden talent includes being able to play guitar and bass… driving a 2009 Jeep Patriot… enjoys dining on orange chicken, burritos and pizza, but dislikes anything found on a vegetarian menu… favorite tv show and movie are

The Dark Knight, respectively… recently enjoyed taking a business class from EIU professor Scott Stevens… can’t go anywhere without his cell phone… since coming to EIU he has learned that “Jimmy Johns originated from a business class project.”
