Biography
Matt had an impressive freshman year with the Panthers... excelled in the sprint freestyle events... continually earned top finishes in the 50-Free and 100-Free events... captured a third place finish in the 50-Free and a fifth place finish in the 100-Free at the Panther Invitational... he also turned in a top twelve finishes in the 50, 100, and 200 Free events at the league championships... swam third leg in both the 200 and 400-Free Relays that set new school-records with times of 1:24.09 and 3:03.64, respectively... son of Phyllis and Steve Crittenden... besides swimming, has the hidden talent of being able to "eat alot"... favorite food is sour jacks, while sushi is his least favorite... the windy city of Chicago is his favorite big city... best advice he has for younger athletes is "to go to class"... Douglas Hall is his favorite building on EIU’s campus.
