2008-09: Swam in every freestyle event on the year... while at end-of-season league meet, earned personal best times in 200-Free, 500-Free and 1650-Free... his 200-Free was second best on the year, while his 500-Free event was the best on the EIU squad during his sophomore season and earned a spot in the Panther Top 10 list ... also finished in the season top three list for his 1000-Free time, which was also good enough to place in the Top 10 history books... one of four swimmers in the top 400-Free and 800-Free Relay units that set best time on the year.... 

2007-08: Competed in all 13 meets as a freshman, setting season-highs at the Summit Championship, including finishing second in the 1650-Free and 800-Free Relay... finished in the top-five in 23 individual/relay races... 

PREP: Former team captain of Oak Park River Forest HS swim team... earned West Suburban Silver Division All-Conference for coaches Peter Quinn and Eric Meyer.... 

PERSONAL: Elementary education major... son of Bud & Maureen Mathieu.
