HIGH SCHOOL: Placed fifth in the discus as a senior at the Class 1A State Championship competing for Pleasant Plains HS...  finals discus mark was 163'4"...  won the Class 1A Beardstown Sectional Shot Put with a throw of 49'10" to advance to the state meet in that event... earned a pair of medals at the Class 1A IHSA State Championships as a junior...  was third in the discus with a finals mark of 164'2"...  placed ninth in the state in the shot put with a finals throw of 49'9"...  helped team win the Rushville Industry Sectional placing third in the shot put and winning the discus with a sectional throw of 160'7"...
