HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in track and field at Robinson High School... competed primarily in throws advancing to the IHSA Class 2A State Championships as a senior in the shot put... had a finals throw of 47'6'50"... won the Tolono Unity Sectional in the shot put with a throw of 51'1.50" with a personal best of 52' coming earlier in the season... season best discus mark was 148'1"... also competed in the 100 meter dash and on the 4x100 relay team in high school...
