Full-time starter yet again in the catcher/utility position during her final senior campaign... continues to move up the career lists for batting %, runs, hits, doubles, triples, home runs, RBIs, total bases, walks, hit by pitch, sac flies, and putouts... currently sports a new all-time school mark for slugging %... enjoyed an eight-game hitting streak and reached base safely in nine consecutive games as well... has 13 multiple-hit and six multi-RBI contests to her credit... again can be found hitting at the No. 4 clean-up spot in the Panther lineup.
2014 ... Earned Second Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors as she once again led her squad in hitting, doubles, total bases, slugging %, and putouts... also one of three Panthers to earn CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District V kudos... finished with 15 multi-hit games, including a pair of three-shot performances... also tallied seven multiple-RBI contetes and enjoyed a seven-game hitting mark and an impressive 13-game streak of reaching base safely... could be found in the clean-up hitting spot at No. 4 throughout the entire season... continued to move up the EIU record books for both single-season and career marks in nearly every offensive statistical category... OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2013 ... First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honoree following a fine sophomore campaign... actually finished a close second in OVC 'Player of the Year' voting in the post-season... split time behind the plate as a starting catcher and in right field... one of the OVC leaders in batting with a team-best .418 mark... that included 61 total shots, with 19 of the extra-base variety... led her squad with 13 doubles and second with 34 RBI... went a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen bases... drilled four shots versus TTU, while also blasting a pair of triples against the same Golden Eagle squad and also against UIC... nabbed a pair of homers in EIU's win over Lehigh... tied for first with 17 multiple hit games, while adding eight multi-RBI contests... enjoyed a hitting streak and reached base streak of 10 consecutive games... paced the OVC for on-base %, while also ranking in the Top 5 for doubles... added her name to several single-season Top 10 marks, while ranking in Top 25 in EIU career numbers as well... OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2012 ... As true freshman, saw action in 27 games, starting 11, either at third base or right field, but mostly as designated hitter... hit .185 behind five hits, six runs and a pair of RBI versus Butler... OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL ... Four-year letter winner in softball and volleyball, as well as two in track, for coaches Rick Allen and Brian Lee at Windsor HS… four-time All-National Trail Conference honoree in softball… named league MVP as both a junior and senior… trice earned Decatur Herald & Review First Team All-Area … also three-time Illinois Coaches Association All-State Third Team honoree, in addition to an honorable mention rank… member of the Windsor squad that earned the school’s first-ever regional championship in 2010… in volleyball, three-time All-National Trail Conference award winner, including First Team her senior year… member of a three-time Regional Championship volleyball squad, with the 2008 team earning IHSA Sweet 16 honors… member of the National Honor Society, while earning the 2007 IESA Scholar Attitude Award… four-time High Honor Roll member… 2011 D.A.R.E. Role Model and Daughter of the American Revolution Award winner.
PERSONAL ... Majoring in kinesiology and sports studies… daughter of Cary & Karyn Cole… born on March 19... mother was former volleyball player at Lake Land Community College… credits her parents for influencing her sports career, “because they have been there supporting me since I was playing t-ball as a younger… they have dedicated their time to take me to all my practices and come to all of my games ever since… they have pushed me to be the best that I can and helped me get to where I am today”… also a summer member of the Mattoon Pride softball squad.
OFF THE FIELD WITH HANNAH ... ‘Nan’, ‘Cole’, ‘Tigs’ chose to come to EIU, “because it is close to home, has the major in which I want to study and I love the softball program”… feels some of Eastern’s advantages over other OVC and instate school include “it’s a compact, medium sized campus, in a town not too big or too small, plus the environment and support for the school is awesome”… besides softball, enjoys volleyball and track… possesses the talent of “being a neat-freak, with everything organized and with a specific place”… currently driving a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix… enjoys shopping, scrapbooking, being outdoors, animals, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family… enjoys dining on spaghetti, peanut butter, quesadillas, peas, and any kind of fruit… but doesn’t care to eat German chocolate cake… favorite tv shows include The Bachelor and American Idol… family pets include an Australian Shepherd and Beagle named ‘Dixie’ and ‘Abby’, respectively, both of which she wishes she could bring with her to campus… recently enjoyed attending Debbie Fay’s kinesiology as a profession class… since coming to EIU she has learned “how to manage my time”… can’t go anywhere without her cell phone… her advice to a younger softball player would be to “keep working hard and never let your goal slip away… if you want to play collegiate softball, there is a place for you to play”… personal goals while at EIU include “getting a 4.0 GPA and stay on track with my grades, while also winning the OVC tournament.”
