2014 ... Saw limited action as a senior before quitting the team halfway through the spring campaign... started three games in the circle... tallied 16 Ks and a 9.07 ERA behind just 14.2-innings of work.

2013 ... Earned three starts in the circle as a junior transfer... finished with eight total appearances, but zero complete games... registered eight total strikeouts, with five of those coming against IUPUI... allowed four walks and finished with a 4.67 ERA.

MIDDLE TENNESSEE STATE TRANSFER ... Came to Eastern following two seasons at Middle Tennessee State... she finished with a combined 8-23 record in the circle... started 22 games as a sophomore... registered 109 total strikeouts... earned her first career save while also retiring a personal-best nine batters versus current OVC rival Murray State in 2011.

HIGH SCHOOL ... Was a four-year letterwine under coach Dave Shawver at nearby Cumberland HS... named first team All-State as a junior and second team during her junior year... went 17-2 overall while also nabbing the school-record career mark for homeruns... finished with a nice 0.47 ERA behind 201 total prep strikeouts off 118 innings of work... also earned a letter in volleyball... played for both the Midland Magic and Mattoon Pride club teams.

PERSONAL ... Majoring in communication studies, with an additional minor in advertising... daughter of John & Jill Robinson... her No. 1 sports highlight was "breaking the homerun record at Cumberland HS."

OFF THE FIELD WITH JANELE ... Chose to transfer to EIU, "because Eastern has a great softball program and I'm a local kid so I'm glad my family and friends will get to come support our squad"... also enjoys playing volleyball, hunting, shopping, traveling, spending time with family, and going to professional games... loves noshing on salt and vinegar chips, but dislikes seafood... family owns two pets -- 'Milo' and 'Tilly', a Maltese dog and miniature donkey, respectively... recently enjoyed taking professor Walsh's class in the communications department, "because she was the professor I had that made me want to work hard and take pride in my work while also having a great time in class"... favorite building on campus is the bookstore in the MLK union, "because it's where I can buy all the best EIU gear"... her favorite quote comes via Shaquille O'Neal -- "excellence is not a singular act but a habit... you are what you do repeatedly"... her personal goals while at EIU include "bringing my best to EIU softball in every aspect in order to help make this year one of the best yet."
