Biography

HIGH SCHOOL:
Jelly, short for Angelica, played for coach Otten at Cardinal Ritter HS in Brownsburg, Ind., which is located just outside Indianapolis... earned letters in softball, cross country, track and volleyball... was a three-time All-City, All-Conference, and All-District athlete... played in the 2008 adidas ‘Future 100’ All-Star Game in Colorado... two-time military scholar distinguished ‘Female Athlete of the Year’ award winner... twice named MVP of her softball squad... also ‘Offensive Player of the Year’ twice... broke several school marks over her HS career... including batting average, on-base average and stolen bases... led the team in hitting, on-base %, hits, runs and stolen bases... qualified for the IHSA State Track & Field meet in both the 200 and 400-Meter Dashes in 2009... named softball team captain her senior season... member of the National Honor Society... earned High Honor Roll... president of both the student council and ‘Big Sis-Little Sis’... named as a student ambassador.

PERSONAL:
Daughter of Greg & Lisa Brannick... Jelly’s No. 1 sports highlight was “hitting the first home run on the new field my junior year”... her father was a member of the swim squad while at Michigan... while her uncle played for the Detroit Lions... member of the Illinois Chill Gold 18U and Indy Dream 18U softball club teams.

OFF THE FIELD WITH JELLY:
Chose to come to EIU “because of the coaches, the team and the campus”... besides softball, also enjoys hockey, volleyball and football... enjoys eating steak, ribs and chocolate, yet dislikes sea food... her favorite t.v. show is ‘The Office’... her family’s cat is named ‘Delilah’... has already enjoyed taking Professor Dan Johnson’s biology class while at EIU... if she could bring anything from her hometown to EIU it would be “my little sister, Mary”... her personal goal is to “become a dentist.”
