Biography

2008: Seerup played in 17 games and started five times at designated player… also led the team with nine pinch-hit at-bats… enjoyed a big game in the win against Jackson State, entering the game after the injury to Angela Danca and going 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored… registered a pinch-hit single in the win over Buffalo… collected an RBI with a sacrifice fly in the victory at Butler.

HIGH SCHOOL: Danielle lettered in softball for coaches Jay Biesterfield and Dan Potempa at Providence Catholic High School… also played for the Orland Park A’s summer league team.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was defeating the same conference rival twice in the same season, ending an eight-year losing streak to that team… her father and grandpa have been a major influence on her sports career because “they have taught me so much about the game. Every time I was doing something wrong they would let me know and help me fix it. They both made me a better player with their help”… most admires Lance Armstrong because “he has been through so much in his life and career. He fought to beat cancer and was able to come back and do the amazing, win the Tour de France multiple times”… her cousin Roy Bullard played baseball at Illinois-Chicago… daughter of Stephen and Kathleen Seerup… MAJOR: Biological Sciences/Pre-Med.
