2008: Lawson pitched in five games and started the OVC Tournament game against Morehead State at designated player… hit a solo home run in that game against Morehead, teaming with Ally Nolte for back-to-back jacks… led off the seventh inning of the regular-season finale with a pinch hit single… was 2-for-7 as a pinch hitter for the season, also singling at Florida International as well… pitched a season-high two innings at FIU… worked an inning and a third of scoreless relief at Tulsa… also pitched against Kentucky, Towson and Jacksonville State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Taylor was a four-year letter-winner, playing three years at the varsity level, for coach Fred Miller… broke the school’s single-season strikeout record in each of her upperclassman seasons… then broke the career record as a senior… two-time All-Southwest Prairie Conference and all-area… won the sectional home run derby hitting contest as a junior… led the team in batting average as a senior… also played for the Aurora Raiders summer league team.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was breaking the single-season and career strikeouts records at OHS… her family has been a major influence on her sports career because "they are always there for me and supporting everything I do"… most admires her pitching coach Robin Ross because "he made me believe that I could do it and never gave up on me"… daughter of Dave and Karen Lawson… MAJOR: Psychology.
