SENIOR (2008-09): Canale played in and started 32 games, missing only the Bradley contest due to the flu… scored in double-figures 16 times, including in five straight games twice… recorded two double-doubles: 14 points and 10 rebounds in the season-opening win against Miami (Ohio), and 19 points and 10 rebounds in showdown game at home with Murray State… tied her career-high with the 19 points against Murray, after also scoring 19 points to lead the way in a big road win at Morehead State earlier in the month… grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds at Southeast Missouri… played a career-high 41 minutes in the OVC Tournament title game… was 8-of-14 from 3-point land on the Morehead-Eastern Kentucky road trip, making four triples in both games… helped the Panthers gut out a tough road win at UT Martin with a team-high 14 points… also led EIU in scoring with 15 points in the loss at Cincinnati… played well at Illinois State, scoring 16 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field and 6-of-6 at the free throw line… made at least one 3-pointer in 11 straight games the second half of the season… also made at least one 3-pointer in 10 straight games the first half of the year… averaged 11.4 points per game and led the team with 15 3-pointers during the eight-game win streak… shot 51 percent from the field and averaged 12.7 points a team-high six rebounds per game in December… led the way in rebounding (5.8 rpg) and 3-pointers (14) in February… had more assists than turnovers at home…

JUNIOR (2007-08): OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll... Canale played in 30 games and started 29 times… put together her top all-around season, posting season career-highs for points, 3-pointers and blocked shots while registering more assists than turnovers… averaged 27.6 minutes per game, third highest on the team… regularly matched-up against the opposition’s top offensive guard… stepped up during the conference-opening weekend, scoring in double-figures in the wins against Tennessee Tech (14) and Tennessee State (15) as EIU began OVC play 2-0… scored a season-high 17 points in the overtime win at Eastern Kentucky thanks to a 3-of-3 showing from 3-point land… also made a trio of 3s in wins at Austin Peay and versus Samford… led EIU in scoring with 15 points in the regular-season home win against Tennessee State, collecting a season-high eight rebounds as well… registered 16 points in the double-overtime loss at Samford… then posted 11 points, on 4-of-5 shooting, six rebounds and five assists in the rematch with Samford, which EIU won at home… tied her career-high with five assists twice… made a 3-pointer in eight straight games during one stretch of the season… made 24 of her 28 3-pointers in OVC play, shooting 45 percent in conference play to rank fourth in the OVC… shot 83 percent at the free throw line in road games… averaged 10.6 points per game and made 6-of-11 from 3-point land during EIU’s 5-0 December.
SOPHOMORE (2006-07): OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll... Canale played in 26 games and started 23 times, including every contest after Jan. 1… missed the first three games with mononucleosis but still finished third on the team in free throws made and attempted… led the squad, and ranked among the OVC leaders, in free throw percentage after making 46-of-51 (90 percent) during the second half of the year… made 18 consecutive free throws during one stretch… three of her four double-figure scoring efforts came in OVC play… registered season-high point (17) and assist (5) totals in the home finale versus Murray State… made a career-high 10-of-11 free throws en route to scoring 14 points in the double overtime game against Jacksonville State… scored 13 points in the rematch with JSU, which EIU won on the road… pulled down a season-high nine rebounds twice… connected on a 3-pointer in each of the last three games of the season… blocked a shot in six straight games late in the year… posted 10 of her 12 rejections and 17 of her 21 steals in league play… shot 88 percent from the free throw line in home games… averaged 9.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in February… OVC Top 10 Rankings: 10th in free throw percentage.
FRESHMAN (2005-06): OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll... Canale started all 29 games, one of three Panthers to do so… one of just a handful of freshmen nationally to start every game… was dynamite in her collegiate debut, scoring a season-high 19 points thanks to 8-of-15 shooting against nationally-ranked USC… it marked the highest-scoring debut by an EIU freshman since 2001… also grabbed a career-high six steals in the opener, a season high by a Panther… posted a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double at Illinois-Chicago… scored in double-figures in the last three games of the year and on nine occasions total… scored a team-high 13 points in the OVC Tournament game at Tennessee Tech… also scored a team-high 13 points at Wisconsin… had 11 points in OVC wins over Murray State and Morehead State… did not miss a shot (4-of-4 from the field, 2-of-2 from 3-point land) in the home win over Tennessee State… posted eight points, five rebounds and five assists in the win over Southeast Missouri… after a slow start at the free throw line, shot 84 percent (27-of-32) down the stretch… logged 30-plus minutes nine times, including a season-high 34 in the home win over Eastern Kentucky.
HIGH SCHOOL: Canale played for coach Fred Thomann at Plymouth-Salem High School in suburban Detroit… also lettered in volleyball… BCAM All-State as a senior… two-time conference MVP… three-time all-conference and all-division selection… Canton Observer All-Area honoree three times… all-metro… team captain her senior year… led her team to a 2004 conference title and 2005 district championship… honor roll student.
PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was beating a cross-campus rival in the district championship and making it to the regionals for the first time in her career… her immediate and extended family has been a major influence on her sports career because “if it wasn’t for their constant love and support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
