Biography
SENIOR (2008-09): Lipperd played in 10 games and made her first career start on senior day vs. Murray State… played a season-high five minutes in win against Savannah State… grabbed a pair of rebounds in each of first three games she played in… got to the free throw line against Savannah State and Eastern Kentucky… played in three of the four games during the December homestand… assisted on the first basket of the Murray State game at home… played three minutes at the end of the first of the Illinois State game, tallying an assist and a steal.
JUNIOR (2007-08): OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll... Lipperd played in 12 games… recorded her three best performances of the season in successive games against Bradley, Indiana State and Loyola, averaging seven points and four rebounds per game while shooting 7-of-14 from the field… scored a season-high nine points in the win against Loyola… registered eight points thanks to 4-of-5 shooting at the free throw line in the loss at Bradley… made a pair of free throws shortly after entering the game in the final minutes of the first half at Austin Peay to extend EIU’s halftime lead… played a season-high 16 minutes three times… recorded three assists, four rebounds and the first 3-point field goal attempt of her career in the win against Illinois Tech… was 6-of-7 at the free throw line in true road games.
SOPHOMORE (2006-07): OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll... Lipperd played in 26 games… tied the EIU single-game field goal percentage record by making all five of her shot attempts in the comeback win over Eastern Kentucky… scored a career-high 10 points in that game… was second on the team in field goal percentage, shooting better than 50 percent… shot 61 percent from the field in conference play and 62 percent in home games… scored nine points and did not miss a shot (3-of-3 from the field, 3-of-3 at the free throw line) in the win at Jacksonville State… made a career-high 7-of-9 free throws in the win over Illinois-Springfield… played a career-high 25 minutes at Xavier... scored in 14 of the first 15 games in which she played.
FRESHMAN (2005-06): OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll... Lipperd played in 24 games… scored a season-high six points, all in the first half, in the OVC Tournament game at Tennessee Tech… played a season-high 20 minutes at Cincinnati, pulling down a season-high five rebounds… also collected five boards at UT Martin, adding five points as well… played a key role in her 16 minutes of the overtime win against Morehead State… attempted more free throws than field goals… played in each of the last 12 games of the season… connected on five of her last seven field goal attempts to end the season after beginning the year 1-of-8.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lipperd was a four-year letter-winner for coach Bill Snyder at South Ripley High School in southeastern Indiana… also lettered four times in volleyball and twice in track and field… all-conference and all-county selection… surpassed the 1,000 career points plateau… top 40 workout… team captain… was also an all-conference and all-county performer in volleyball and track… set single-season volleyball hitting percentage and blocks records as a team captain… National Honor Society… class vice president her senior year.
PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was earning a scholarship to play college basketball… her father has been a major influence on her sports career because “he has taken time out from his busy schedule to take me to practice, etc. and has always supported me”… enjoys playing volleyball, watching football, reading and listening to music… credits her stepmom Amy for her support... daughter of Ernest and Theresa Lipperd… MAJOR: Biological Sciences with a Teacher’s Certification.
