2009: For the second consecutive season, Chase shared the Outstanding Defense Award alongside classmate Stephanie Militello... also nabbed the Panther Award ... set a new single-game solo tackle tally with 110 on the year as she finished her Panther career with three single-season marks in the EIU Top 15... set several career bests over the course of her final year as a Panther... including highs for assists, assisted tackles and steals at tackle... her 28 solo stops in EIU’s crucial win over Northern Iowa set a single-game Panther mark, which has since been broken this past season... finished her EIU career with the second best all-time solo tackle mark of 251... also ranked third best for career assisted tackles and steals at tackle with 112 and 33, respectively... her five SAT at Iowa State placed her at the top of the single-game record book listing... played in all but one game over the course of the season.

2008: A co-captain, Chase shared the Outstanding Defense Award with fellow junior Stephanie Militello and etched her name into the EIU record books after earning 15 solo tackles in the Panthers’ rout of Kansas... also had double-digit solo stops versus Iowa State (12) and North Carolina (10)... recorded three steals-at-tackle in EIU’s revenge win over West Chester... her 14 season steals-at-tackle tied for second in EIU record book, while her 30 assisted tackles is the sixth best EIU single-season total... currently listed fourth for career assisted tackles (71) and steals-at-tackle (19).... 

2007: Chase earned Most Improved Award her sophomore season as she set new career bests in each of the statistical categories... earned her first two trys of her career in the second meeting with Illinois... had 12 solo tackles and three steals at tackle versus the South Carolina All-Star squad... had double-digit tackles in three contests over the course of the season... her current 41 career tackle assist total places her 11th in the record book .... 2006: Chase joined the squad in the third week of action and played in last seven games... had two solo tackles and four tackle assists versus Indiana.... 

HS: Earned varsity letters in swimming, cross country, softball, and cheerleading at Rockford Jefferson HS... member of cross country team that advanced to sectionals... All-Conference in swimming... national qualifier in synchronized trampoline event, finishing eighth... named as an Illinois athletic scholar all four years... a national honor society state scholar.... 

PERSONAL: Daughter of Scott Cain... majoring in psychology and family and consumer sciences.... 

FUN FACTS: Chase enjoys watching teammate Samantha Manto perform on the field... since coming to EIU she has learned “to do what makes me happy”... her advice for a younger athlete is “enjoy... time will fly, so make everything count”... if she could bring anything from her hometown to Charleston it would be “her family”... currently drives a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS... her miniature pinscher is named ‘Bruce’....
