Biography
2011: As true freshman, Aly saw action in nine of the ten games in the season... registered three solo tackles and two assisted tackles versus NCAA DI foe Quinnipiac, played at home and on the road, respectively.
HS: Fellow classmate of freshman Carissa Burge at Central A&M in Moweaqua... played for a variety of coaches as a member of the basketball and track squads... played both JV and varsity basketball earning team captain... Central A&M earned 10 team titles during her high school career, including regular-season Okaw Valley Conference and tourney champions... as well as winning the Macon County tourney... Central A&M was a two-time regional champ... was a member of her high school High Honor Roll all four years... a D.A.R.E. role model and earned an award in Honors English.
PERSONAL: Plans on majoring in special education & elementary education... credits her family for having the biggest influence on her sports career, "because they have always been there to support me in all my decisions and motivated me to always do my best"... No. 1 sports highlight was "making the game-winning basket against Saint Teresa in the Macon County Tourney"... daughter of Tim & Sandra Dial.
FUN FACTS: 'McB' chose EIU "for the teaching major and because I am very interested in rugby and the strong program they offer"... feels some of Eastern's advantages over other schools includes "low student population so a better teach-student ratio"... besides rugby, she enjoys playing basketball, softball and watching football games... currently driving a red 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo... loves eating spaghetti and arroz con pollo from Guadalajara... yet not crazy about eating seafood... her family has a Cockapoo named Sage... if she could switch places with anyone for a day it would be "someone who is less fortunate, so that I can appreciate all that I have been given"... one of her best vacation memories was "renting a condo with 10 fellow graduates and spending a week in the Ozarks"... would have loved to have met actress Audrey Hepburn... wishes she could bring her "awesome brother" to campus with her... her advice for a younger student-athlete would be "to never be afraid to give a shot to something that might be new to you, because you might just like it"... Booth Library is her favorite building on EIU's campus.
