2008: Played in nearly every game as a freshman, missing only the season finale... had first career try versus UW-Stevens Point... had a season-high five solo tackles against Kansas and two assisted stops in season-opener... had a steal in EIU’s revenge win over West Chester....
HS: Earned letters in basketball (2), volleyball (2) and softball (3) at North Boone HS... named to high honor roll....
PERSONAL: Daughter of Scott & Donna Sremaniak... majoring in business... her aunt mary played softball and basketball at Northeastern and Western Illinois....
FUN FACTS: ‘Little Brophy’ chose EIU “to play rugby”... drives a 1998 Dodge Neon... her advice for younger athlete is “train hard and do your summer workouts”....
COACH GRAZIANO SAYS: “Sarah had a good first season building confidence as the season progressed... with each game she was given more responsibilities and her talents began to shine, showing a glimpse of the possibilities for the 2009 season... she needs to improve her strength and conditioning in the off-season, which along side her toughness and competitive spirit, will produce big results her sophomore season.”
