2009:  Playing in eight of the scheduled ten games of the season, Tasha tied each of her career highs for solo and assisted tackles as well as steals at tackle.

2008: Tasha competed in all ten games... registered a season high two solo tackles in EIU’s 52-0 win over Kansas... earned two assisted tackles in two games, most recently versus Kansas... had a steal-at-tackle versus Iowa State.... 

HS: Earned four varsity letters on the track and field squad at Bond County Community HS... set two records while earning All-Area, All-Conference and Honorable Mention kudos in track and field... three-time IHSA state qualifier in the shot put, while also tallying three conference championships in the throw... made Honor Roll all four years.... 

PERSONAL: Her former coach, Dave Holden, has been the major influence on her sports career, as well as the person she most admires, “because he taught me to trust in my ability and taught me many life lessons”... daughter of Timothy & Fay Buchmiller... secondary education major.... 

FUN FACTS: Choose EIU “because I had the opportunity to compete at the Division I level in two sports (rugby and track), plus EIU is known for education degrees”... hidden talents are scrapbooking, organizing, decorating and planning events... her advice to a younger athlete would be “don’t be afraid and it won’t come overnight... when you are sore, stretch and work harder”... if she could bring anything from her hometown to EIU it would be “her mom”....
