2009: First Team All-OVC…
OVC Goalkeeper of the Week (Sept. 29)… Williams played in 12 games and started the final 11 contests of the season… also played the second half of the Illinois State game… made six saves and shutout Western Illinois in her first start of the season… followed that up with a career-high 13 saves in the conference-opening draw at Southeast Missouri… earned OVC Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the third time in her career for those performances… also shutout Austin Peay, Jacksonville State and Eastern Kentucky… made seven saves in the win at EKU, helping the Panthers clinch an OVC Tournament berth… finished the regular-season strong, making 22 saves and surrendering only two goals in the final three games… helped EIU lead the league in save percentage…

2008: Williams played in 10 games and started nine times, including the first two matches of the season and five OVC contests… helped EIU lead the OVC in saves… stepped up big in the must-win home finale against Southeast Missouri, making nine saves and surrendering just one goal… recorded her 200th career save at Illinois State… gave up just one goal in losses at Indiana State, UT Martin and Illinois State… credited with 11 saves at UT Martin, the second double-figure total of her career… made at least four saves in every game she played…

2007: OVC Goalkeeper of the Week (Sept. 11)…Williams started all 17 games she played in… earned OVC Goalkeeper of the Week honors after shutting out Indiana State in the home opener and making a career-high 12 saves at nationally-ranked Missouri… those dozen saves represent the most during head coach’s Tim Nowak’s three-year tenure… also posted solo shutouts against Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay and Jacksonville State… played 82 of the 90 minutes of the Tennessee Tech shutout as well… came up big with high-save totals in impressive wins against Eastern Michigan (6), Ball State (7) and Murray State (6) in the OVC Tournament… dating back to September 2006, did not allow a goal at home in more than a calendar year and 979 minutes of game action until Samford ended the streak on Oct. 26… nine of her 12 career shutouts have come against OVC foes… OVC Rankings: second in shutouts, fourth in goals against average, eighth in saves and ninth in save percentage.
2006: OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll... OVC Goalkeeper of the Week (Oct. 31)…She started all 19 games in which she played… made a season-high eight saves in the overtime loss at Samford and win at Illinois State… after not posting her first shutout until the OVC opener, recorded six shutouts in the last eight games… allowed just three goals in the final eight games of the year, compiling a 0.38 goals against average during that span… earned OVC Goalkeeper of the Week honors after making the eight saves at ISU to help EIU end a six-game losing streak to the Redbirds… made arguably her finest saves of the season in big games at Samford and against Morehead State in the semifinals of the OVC Tournament… stopped a penalty kick by Loyola’s top scorer, keeping the game tied and setting the stage for EIU’s overtime victory… surrendered more than two goals in a game just once against OVC foes… would have started every game in goal if not for sustaining an injury late in the Eastern Michigan game that kept her out of the next contest… OVC Rankings: second in goals against average, tied for third in shutouts, fifth in save percentage, and sixth in saves.
HIGH SCHOOL: She was a four-year letter-winner for coach Bill Sanders… also lettered twice in basketball and volleyball... set a school record for most shutouts in a season (14)… 2006 All-State selection… three-time all-conference pick (2004-06)… two-time team MVP as an upperclassman… defensive team MVP in ‘04… 2005 all-sectional pick… QHS won back-to-back Big Six Conference titles her upperclassman seasons… team captured the regional crown in ‘06… ‘88 ODP team won Region II championship and took third at the ODP Nationals in 2006… high honor roll student… All-Conference Scholastic Team… President’s Education Award… Society of Academic Achievement… research presenter at the Illinois Junior Science and Humanities symposium.
PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was stopping a penalty kick against a Missouri ODP team at the regional championships… her brother Jonathan, who played soccer at Carthage College, has been a major influence on her sports career because “he has persevered through so many things and always pushes me to be better”… most admires French great Zinedine Zidane because “he is the best athlete in the world”… daughter of Jim and Margie Williams… MAJOR: Biological Sciences/Pre-Physical Therapy.
