Biography

2007: Second Team All-OVCThird Team NSCAA All-Central Region Scholar... Floyd started every game for the third season in a row, finishing her career having started a team-high 61 consecutive games… ranked second on the team in minutes played (1,618), averaging 80.9 minutes per game… posted her second career multi-goal in the home-opening win against Indiana State… also assisted on Angela Ziemba’s goal in the same game… scored against Eastern Kentucky for the third year in a row… played the entire game four times, including a stretch of three consecutive matches during OVC play… recorded a shot in 16 of the 20 games, including a stretch of 12 consecutive contests… was the program’s active leader in assists (9) when her career ended… Eastern posted a 7-0 record when she scored during her career… EIU All-Time Rankings: 10th in game-winning goals (4).

2006: OVC Co-Player of the Year... First Team All-OVC... OVC Player of the Week (Sept. 5)… Floyd started all 20 games, one of four Panthers to do so, extending her team-high starting streak to 41 straight matches... fifth EIU player to win OVC Player of the Year… led the team in assists and points and scored three of her four goals in OVC play… posted her first multi-goal game with two scores in big win over Southeast Missouri… named OVC Player of the Week after scoring the game-tying goal and assisting on Rachel Hamilton's overtime game-winner in the victory against Loyola… assisted on both EIU goals scored a school record 19 seconds apart in the win at Jacksonville State… scored a goal and assisted on Pam Melinauskas's game-winner in the victory over Eastern Kentucky… also tallied a helper on Trisha Walter's goal at Wright State… filled in as goalkeeper early in the season, playing the final minute and a half against Eastern Michigan and starting the following contest against Bowling Green… Top 10 OVC Rankings: tied for third in assists (5), tied for eighth in points (13) and tied for ninth in shots (50).

2005: Floyd started all 21 games… scored her first career goal, the game-winner, in EIU’s win over Tennessee Tech… also found the back of the net at Eastern Kentucky… tallied an assist on Sharyne Connell’s game-winning goal in the OVC Tournament semifinals against Southeast Missouri… tallied 19 shots, putting 13 on goal for a .684 shot on goal percentage which was tops on the team… posted multiple shots in six games.

2004: Played in all 21 matches and started the regular season match against Murray State… assisted on Audra Frericks goal in the OVC Tournament championship match… also assisted on Sharyne Connell’s goal against Morehead State… 17 shots and six shots on goal.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in soccer and cross country... all-midwest senior year... three-time All-Central State 8 Conference… two-time all-sectional and all-state… two-time State Journal-Register and conference Player of the Year… tied season record for goals scored (26)… finished third at state in 2004 and fourth in 2001… Glenwood All-Tournament Team.

PERSONAL: No. 1 sports highlight was beating two-time defending champs St. Viator in the spring of 2004 to make the Final Four… her parents have been a major influence, "they are always there for me, cheering me on"… most admires Bryan Blakemore, "he taught me what it takes to become a stronger player and person"… enjoys playing soccer, painting, being outside and spending time with friends… daughter of David and Valerie FloydMAJOR: Elementary Education
