Biography
COACH BOS SAYS: “Sheila is a senior and our team captain so we are not only relying on her to fill our top breaststroke position, but also to provide leadership for a very young team... she has a great work ethic and attitude and will definitely be a challenger at the Summit League Championships in both breaststroke events”....
2007-08: Competed in 12 meets... had 22 top-five finishes... fifth in 200-Breast and ninth in 100-Breast at end of season league meet....
2006-07: Sheila posted several impressive swims as a junior, including placing ninth at the conference meet in the 100-Breast and tenth in the 200 race... finished in the top-five in individual/relay events 21 times over the course of the season while competing in 12 of 13 meets....
PREP: A four-time letterwinner for coach Brett Wilson at Mother McAuley HS... also earned two letters in water polo... notched an All-State honorable mention honor... elected swim captain her senior year and set sectional records as a junior... member of McAuley team that won the sectional championship in 2003-04... elected to National Honor Society....
PERSONAL: Secondary Education/History major... member of the EIU Honors College... daughter of Brian & Ellen Dugan.
