HIGH SCHOOL
Played in the Eastside Twin City volleyball club for seven years • Lettered in three sports at Monticello HS, picking up four in both volleyball and basketball, and one in soccer • Team captain when her squad won the regional champion her senior season • Also during her senior season, she earned all-tournament team honors at Paxton-Buckley-Loda tourney • Named First Team all-area by Champaign News-Gazette following two honorable mentions her sophomore and junior seasons • Earned First Team All-Okaw Valley Conference kudos as junior and senior • Monticello finished with a school-best 27-2 record while also placing second in Okaw Valley Conference • Career records included second place in assists and aces, third in digs and seventh in kills • In basketball, MHS was two-time regional champions (04-05) • A two-time team captain, she was named to Unity and Monticello All-Tournament squads • Was a state qualifier in the three-point contest after capturing regional and sectional honors • Also made it to the IHSA state swimming meet both individually and as a member of her squads relay team
PERSONAL
Several members of her family also sport past collegiate athletic experiences, with her uncle, Gene, and cousin, Tina, both having played basketball at Kansas State • Her uncles, Bob and John, competed in tennis and basketball at Purdue and Michigan, respectively • Also had an aunt, Kris, play tennis for SIU • Lastly, her father, Mike, was a volleyball All-American and national champion with USVBA • In fact, her dad is the athlete/coach she most admires, “because he offered me opportunities in sports and helped me develop as both an athlete and a person” • In her spare time she enjoys reading, running, swimming, hanging out with friends and family, and traveling
