2014 ... Did not compete during her senior year, but did help the squad throughout the season as a student assistant coach.

2013 ... Played in just three sets during her junior campaign, picking up a single dig at the Toledo tournament.

2012 ... Saw action in just three matches as a sophomore.

2011 ... Indiana State Classic All-Tournament Team ... as one of two outside hitters, saw significant action throughout most of the season... registered four kill-dig double-doubles... nailed a season-high 14 put-aways twice, last in EIU's road win at Austin Peay... hit a season-best .300 in a win over Coppin State... scored a high of 17.5 points in a tough five-set loss to Gonzaga.

HIGH SCHOOL ... Played for coach Adrianna Contreras at Bonita HS in La Verne, California... three-time First Team All-Hacienda League selection... named as MVP of the Hacienda League, as well as All-CIF... All-Area by both the San Gabriel Valley Tribune and Daily Bulletin... twice elected as co-team captain... member of high school squad that won four consecutive league championships... also played in the CIF Championship match, advancing to the California State playoffs in 2009... tallied 1,031 kills and 763 digs in her high school career... played for TCA Club Team.

PERSONAL ... Majoring in sociology... daughter of Dave & Kathy Kirby... born on April 2... No. 1 sports highlight was "going to CIF-Championship game my junior year of high school"... credits her sister, Kellyanne, for having the biggest influence on her sports career, "because she introduced me to the sport of volleyball, plus both her and my parents have supported me"... her sister played volleyball... at Cal State Fullerton, while her dad played baseball at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo prior to being drafted by the Detroit Tigers.

OFF THE COURT WITH KATIE ... Chose EIU "because it's far from home and a new experience"... currently driving a 2009 Honda Civic... favorite foods include pizza, burgers and junk food... wishes she could bring her friends and nephew with her to EIU... she can't go anywhere without her cell phone... since coming to Eastern she has learned that Charleston is nicknamed "The Chuck".
