Started as a defensive, and serving, specialist in all 127 sets during her fifth year senior campaign... finished runner-up in team dig totals, as she tallied 306 ups, while also adding 19 aces... finished her Panther career with 982 total digs, coming just 18 shy of adding her name to the prestigious 1,000-Dig Club... tied her career kill tally with two put-downs in a neutral site win over instate foe WIU... tallied 15-plus digs in four contests, including a season-high 20 ups at home against APSU, to finish her career with 17 such performances...

2013 ... Played in all 117 sets as a redshirt-junior, utilized mostly as one of two defensive and serving specialists... finished with 267 total digs and was second on the squad with 24 aces... set a new personal ace tally with three unreturnable serves in EIU's win over Binghamton... also secured a new point total of four in a tough five-set loss at OVC champion Morehead State... twice upped 15-or-more opponent attacks...

2012 ... Saw action in all 124 sets as a redshirt-sophomore... which included several starts as the team's libero ... led the team defensively with 395 digs (3.19 dps)... tallied 15+ ups in 11 contests, including a career-high 24 in a key home win over EKU... also set new personal-highs in six additional stat categories... tied or led her squad in single-match digs 17 times over the course of the season ... OVC Top 10: Ranked 10th in digs for both OVC-only (4.02) and entire season (3.22)... OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, including Medalist Honors.
2011 ... Competed in just seven matches while tying five career marks... ended the season short due to an injury, which required a medical redshirt season... OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2010 ... Saw limited action as true freshman... earned her first collegiate dig at home versus Southeast Missouri as the Panthers earned the regular-season sweep of their OVC rivals for the first time since 2004... OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL ... Earned three letters in volleyball and basketball, as well as four varsity letters as a member of the soccer squad at Illinois Valley Central HS ... earned numerous honors throughout her sports career... including acing the top serving award all four years, as IVC also won the conference champion each year she was a member of the team... she was also a three-time all-conference honoree in the sports of volleyball, basketball soccer, while being named First Team all-conference her junior season... as a sophomore in 2007, she not only earned a spot on two seperate all-tourney teams, but her squad also picked up a regional title, marking the first such honor in IVC history... during her junior and senior years, she was tabbed for all-sectional soccer kudos...also elected as the volleyball team MVP following her junior and senior seasons, while the 2008 squad broke the previous school record for total team victories... she would eventually leave her mark on the program by setting a variety of school records, including nailing a new season kill total and shattering the old dig mark as a junior and senior, respectively... a highlight of her career honors was being named to the Peoria Journal-Star All-Area squad... marking the first time an IVC volleyball player had every been tabbed for such an honor... named to high Honor Roll all four years... member of the National Honor and Spanish National Honor Societies her junior and senior years... named an Illinois State Scholar and a Merit Award winner.
PERSONAL ... Earned her degree in business as she is now finishing up her masters as a fifth year player... daughter of Jeff Brooke & Lisa Keegan... born on June 29...credits her dad for having the biggest influence on her sports career, “because ever since I was young, he has been coaching my teams and making sports enjoyable for me and my friends... as I grew up, he pushed me to be my best in everything I do... he will always be my biggest fan”... her No. 1 sports moment at IVC was “when we broke the school record for wins and advanced to the IHSA Elite 8 for the first time in school volleyball history”... her number one goal while at EIU is to “graduate with a great education”... if she could switch places with anyone for a day, it would be with a little kid, “because I feel like I’m growing up so fast and I want to go back to the simple days.”
OFF THE COURT WITH KELSEY ... 'K2' chose EIU "because of volleyball... plus I absolutely love the girls and the coaching staff... I’m three hours from home and know I will receive a great education... all of these factors made EIU the standout school for me"... wishes she could bring her best friend, Erma, with her to EIU... since coming to EIU she has learned "that drivers are polite and actually stop for pedestrians"... her favorite quote comes from the late actress Audrey Hepburn -- "For beautiful eyes, look for good in others... for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness... and for poise, walk with the knowledge you are never alone”... her favorite foods include cheese, pizza, and mac ‘n cheese.
