2013 ... Kent State Golden Flashes Classic All-Tourney honors ... saw action in 16 matches as a junior as she secured a new career high 95.5 points on the year... set new mark for aces with two at Kent State and four digs in loss at EKU... roofed five attacks in EIU's win over Presbyterian.
2012 ... Penn State Classic All-Tournament Team ... a mid-season abdominal injury sidelined her sophomore campaign, but not before she saw action 12 matches, including earning several starts in the middle attack ... nailed a new personal-high 16 kills against Portland at the Penn State Classic as she represented all Panthers at that prestigious tourney ... registered a .636 attack behind seven kills and zero errors vs. Oakland... OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
2011 ... As a true freshman, saw significant playing time in the middle attack... played in 21 contests as she nailed 57 kills... was a force at the net defensively with 47 total blocks, including five solo stuffs... had a season-high nine roofs versus OVC rival JSU... connected on eight kills as EIU dispatched Coppin State... ended with 9.5 points in a match on three occasions... OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL ... Three-sport athlete -- volleyball, track and basketball -- at Waverly-Shell Rock HS in Waverly, Iowa... coached by EaVon Woodin and Lori Fincher... four-year letterwinner in volleyball, earning First Team All-Conference honors as a senior... squad earned consecutive State Championship appearances, including state champ title as a junior and semi-finalist in 2010... in track, she was a discus state qualifier last spring... seven-time academic letterwinner ... graduated with honors.
PERSONAL ... Majoring in business accounting with a minor in entrepreneurship... daughter of Mitch & Lisa Roggemann... born on January 6... No. 1 sports highlight "was playing for my club team, the Nike Six Pack, as we won the 18 National's championship in Atlanta, Georgia in the summer of 2011"... credits her family for being the biggest influence on her sports career, "because they support me in everything I do and keep my motivated to do the best I can"... her sister, Amanda, also played collegiate sports.
OFF THE COURT WITH KELSEY ... Chose EIU "because I was impressed with coach Price and am excited to have the opportunity to work with her"... also enjoys playing additional volleyball with her sister and friends... favorite foods include mashed potatoes, Butterfingers, pasta, shrimp and cinnamon rolls, while she dislikes mushrooms... wishes she could bring her favorite hometown Chinese restaurant -- Asian Garden -- to Charleston with her... she can't go anywhere without her phone... currently driving a 2000 Toyota Rav4, which I have named 'Phoebe'... one of her goals while at EIU includes "becoming OVC 'Player of the Year'"... her biggest pet peeve is the sound of silverware scraping on plates, bowls, etc.... her advice to a younger volleyball player would be "set your goals high and work your hardest to achieve them... listen to your coaches and incorporate what you learn into your daily routine"... her favorite television shows include NCIS, Law & Order: SVU, and The Fantasy Factory... her family own a Basenji dog named 'Zeus' and a cat, "Belle'.
