HIGH SCHOOL
Played club ball with the Dallas Premiere squad • Multi-letterwinner at Van HS for coaches Megan Koonce, Kim Welch and Melissa Wells • Four-time volleyball and basketball letterwinner, while also earning three in track and cheerleading, and two in softball • Those honors helped earn her the Most Athletic Award at her school • Earned 14-3A MVP, Second Team All-East Texas, and team captain honors her senior year • As a junior, she picked up First Team All-District kudos, while earning honorable mention and Second Team All-County honors as a sophomore • In basketball, she captured Second Team and honorable mention All-District awards, as well as being named team captain • Member of the softball squad that reached the Texas state finals • Academically she was National Honor Society president • Earned Academic All-District in every sport she participated in each year in high school • Named Academic All-State her senior year in both volleyball and basketball
PERSONAL
No. 1 sports highlight was “when I stuffed one of the best hitters in our district... it was unbelievable, because it was my first game on varsity my freshman year and I had just been thrown into a very intense game and the first thing I did was block the girl’s attack” • Her great-uncle, Ike Sewell, played football at the University of Texas, and was elected to the athletic ‘Hall of Fame’ • Her great-uncle is also the founding owner of Uno’s Pizza • Coach she most admires is Kim Brown, “because she taught me so much about the game of volleyball, while also pushing, encouraging and believing in me” • Her hobbies and interests include church, choir, FCA, mentoring, shopping, swimming, hanging out with friends, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and watching movies
