Eastern Illinois University Athletics

Andersen was hired as an assistant athletic trainer at Eastern Illinois in June 2024.  She will work with the EIU volleyball and softball programs.

She came to EIU after working the 2023-24 academic year in the Nashville, Tennessee area as part of two immersive athletic training appointments.  She worked the 2023 fall semester at Belmont University assisting with women’s soccer, track & field and men’s basketball.  During the 2024 spring semester she worked at Vanderbilt University with coverage of women’s lacrosse.  Prior to that Andersen worked with the Wisconsin Sports Medicine staff while working on her master’s degree from the school.  In that role she provided support with the Badgers volleyball and swimming & diving programs.  Andersen also provided athletic training care for athletes from football, men’s and women’s basketball and women’s hockey.  She has additional clinical experience with the South Bend Lions Football Club. 

Andersen earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2021 and earned her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2024.
