2012 ... DePaul Invitational All-Tournament Team ... Split starting libero duties as a true freshman ... finished with 373 total digs for a 3.19 dps mark ... registered 15+ digs in ten contests, including a season-high 25 ups in the first match of the season at DePaul, which helped propel her to the all-tourney squad ... twice drilled a trio of aces, including three in the tough season-finale loss to Belmont at the OVC Tournament... OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL ... While at Wesclin HS, in Trenton, Ill., she earned four letters in both volleyball and soccer for coaches Rebecca Musso and Wes Wright ... in volleyball Stephanie earned Honorable Mention All-Area as both a junior and senior... while also twice being named HM All-Area and All-Sectional in soccer ... Wesclin captured the East Alton Wood River Tourney title ... also runner and third place awards at the Marissa and O'Fallon tourneys, respectively... multi-year High Honor Roll member ... also named to the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL ... Majoring in communication disorders and sciences... daughter of Steven & Brenda Wallace... born on August 31... No. 1 sports highlight was "winning the St. Louis Power League during as a member of the Team Elite St. Louis club team"... credits her parents and sister for having the biggest influence on her sports career, "because they have supported me through everything and spent countless hours going to my games, tournaments, and qualifiers throughout the years"... her sister, Brittany, finished a steller four-year volleyball career at EIU the year before Stephanie joined the squad in 2012... Brittany joined the Panthers as a walk-on before eventually earning starting libero duties.

OFF THE COURT WITH STEPHANIE ... 'Wally' chose EIU, "because I liked Eastern's friendly atmosphere, school size and location"... also enjoys playing soccer... currently driving a a 2006 Honda Civic... favorite foods include pasta, fruit and green bean casserole, but she doesn't care for any type of seafood... can't go anywhere without her phone... best vacation memory was "when I traveled to Europe with my sister"... the MLK bookstore is her favorite building on campus... her advice to a younger volleyball player would be "never give up and always work hard because you never know who is watching"... her favorite quote comes via Dr. Seuss -- "be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"... her number one goal while at EIU is "to be a successful student-athlete."
