Dr. Jim Davis was appointed to the position of Faculty Athletic Representative at Eastern Illinois in June of 2011. Dr. Davis serves as an associate professor of geography and the current department chair. He has worked at EIU since 2003. He holds a doctorate from Kansas State, a masters from Oklahoma State and a bachelor’s degree from Northwest Missouri State. He was named the winner of the OVC's Thurston Banks Award in 2024.
