Eastern Illinois University Athletics

Dwight Rutledge returned to Eastern Illinois in September 2024 and serves as the Panthers Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.  Rutledge previously worked at EIU in the compliance department as a graduate assistant in 2015-16.

Prior to his coming back to EIU, Rutledge worked for two and a half years at Knox College serving as the Associate AD for Compliance.   He brings additional compliance experience working in athletic departments at UIC, Western Illinois, Upper Iowa, Morehead State and West Florida.

As an undergraduate student he gained experience working in compliance areas at both Parkland College and Northern Illinois.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois (2014) and his master's degree from Eastern Illinois (2016).  Rutledge and his wife Ashley have one daughter.
