Eastern Illinois University Athletics

Summerlyn Smith joined the Eastern Illinois athletic department as the assistant director of compliance in May of 2025.  She moved over into a role of assistant director of academic services in July 2026.

Smith worked the previous year and a half as a graduate assistant in the Panthers Athletic Department working in development.  She was a four-year member of the EIU volleyball team as an undergraduate.  Smith earned both her bachelor's degree (2023) and master's degree (2025) from Eastern Illinois.
