CHARLESTON, Ill. - Eastern Illinois men's and women's basketball have completed their staffs for the 2010-11 season as Barron Thelmon has been hired to join the men's staff while former Panther standout Rachel Galligan will join the women's staff.

Thelmon recently joined the Panthers basketball staff after serving as the assistant director of operations for two years at DePaul. Prior to that he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at UNC Wilmington. Thelmon also has three years of coaching experience at Cape Fear Community College.

A college player at UNC Wilmington, Thelmon played three years professionally including one season playing in the NBA Developmental League.

Galligan will join the women's basketball staff on July 1. The former Panther standout was a three-time first team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection as she finished her playing career in 2009 as EIU's career leading scorer with 1,891 points.

Following a quick stint playing professionally in Europe Galligan served as an assistant coach at Bloomington Central Catholic High School last year helping the school post a 32-1 record while winning the IHSA 2A State Championship. This will be Galligan's first college coaching job.
