Sept. 1 Update: If it is actually raining at 4 p.m. today, meet at the Lantz Fieldhouse (west side of the building) for tryouts. If rain has stopped by 4 p.m., meet at Coaches Stadium.

CHARLESTON, Ill. – An informational meeting about open tryouts for Eastern Illinois baseball will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 3 p.m. at Coaches Stadium, head coach Jim Schmitz has announced.

The actual on-field tryouts are set for Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 4 p.m. at Coaches Stadium. You must attend the Aug. 31 meeting to participate in the tryouts.

 

Those attending the informational meeting need to:

-- bring proof of medical insurance
-- be registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse (visit www.ncaaclearinghouse.org for more info)
-- be enrolled in a minimum 12 hours of academic courses for the upcoming fall semester at EIU
