CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois head women's soccer coach Jason Cherry has announced the addition of ten players set to join the Panthers roster for the 2015 season.  Joining the EIU program this fall will be Hope Christensen, Ellie Corrigan, Brooke Greiner, Elisabeth Held, Madison Lyon, Erin Morgan, Brooke Munroe, Kate Olson, Kaci Schonert and Kayla Stolfa. 
 
Christensen is a midfielder from Bettendorf, Iowa, where she played for coach Todd Hornaday at Bettendorf HS.  She played club soccer for coach Malden Nedic at Bettendorf Soccer Association.  She also lettered in cross country and track in high school.
 
Corrigan is a defender from St. Louis, Mo., where she played for coach Dick Westbrook at Visitation Academy.  She was a starter and key member of the back line as her team won the Missouri Class 2 High School Championship in 2014.  She was named to the Metro Women's Athletic Association All-Conference second team.  She played club soccer for coach Meghan Meyer at Lou Fusz Meyer.  The club team was ranked number four in the state of Missouri and a Missouri State Cup semifinalist in 2014.  She also played for AC Porta Via Soccer Club / Metro Strikers helping the team qualify for the Missouri State Cup from 2010-13.
 
Greiner is a midfielder from Florissant, Mo., where she played for coaches Bill Taylor and Patrick O'Conner at Rosati-Kain HS.  She earned second team All-State honors in 2013 and first team All-State honors in 2014.  She helped lead her team to the Missouri State Class 2 finals one season and the state semifinals one other season.  She twice earned first team All-Conference honors.  She played club for coach Todd Ferguson at Missouri Rush.  She helped the team advance to the state semifinals in 2012 and win the 2014 Presidents Cup.
 
Held is a forward from West Bend, Wis., where she played at West Bend East HS.  She was a four-time first team All-Wisconsin Little Ten Conference selection and earned first team All-Area honors.  She played club for coaches Nick Martinez and Sinsia Angelovski at North Shore United.  She helped lead her team to the Wisconsin U18 State Championship in 2014. 
 
Lyon is a  goalkeeper from Racine, Wis., where she played for coach Peter Laboda at Horlick HS.  She helped the team post a 20-6-1 record as a junior earning first team All-South Eastern Conference honors.  She was a second team All-County selection with a 0.85 goals against average and 14 shutouts.  In addition to soccer she lettered four years in volleyball as a starter.
 
Morgan is a goalkeeper from Aurora, Ill., where she played for coach Julie Bergstrom at Waubonsie Valley HS.  She helped the team win back-to-back conference championships in 2013 and 2014.  In 2014 she helped the team place third in the state playing in the IHSA Class 3A level.  She plays club for coach Kieren Keane at NSA Premier.  The team won the Illinois State Championship in 2013 and 2014 and was second in the National League in 2014 after winning regional championships in 2013 and 2014.  The team participated in the 2013 and 2014 National Championships.
 
Munroe is a midfielder from Kenosha, Wis., where she played for coach Todd Hardy at Tremper HS.  She earned first team All-Conference honors and helped guide her team to back-to-back conference championships.  In 2012 the team advanced to the Wisconsin State Final Four and then in 2013 returned to the Elite Eight round.  She played club for coach Issy Martinez at Redstar SC.  She helped the team place fifth in the state in 2014 after advancing to the final four in 2013.  This summer they will have a chance to play in the San Marino Cup in Italy.  She plays in MRL Premier 1 Division.
 
Olson is a defender from Bloomington, Ill., where she played for coach Hayley Sefton at University HS.  She helped the team place fourth in the state in 2012 at the IHSA Class 2A level.  She was named to the All-Section team three times.  She played club for coach Don Ideran at Fusion.  She helped the team place second in the State Cup in 2010 while placing first in the 3v3 World Championship in Florida.
 
Schonert is a midfielder from Racine, Wis., where she played for coach Peter Laboda at Horlick HS.  She earned first team All-County and was named All-State as a junior.  She was the South Eastern Conference Player of the Year and Racine County Player of the Year.  During three years she has scored 31 goals with 51 assists.  Schonert plays for coach Issy Martinez at Redstar SC.  She helped the team place fifth in the state in 2014 after advancing to the final four in 2013.  This summer they will have a chance to play in the San Marino Cup in Italy.  She plays in MRL Premier 1 Division.
 
Stolfa is a defender/midfielder from Batavia, Ill., where she played for coach Mark Gianfrancesco at Batavia HS.  She earned honorable mention All-Upstate Eight Conference honors and All-Area special mention by the Daily Herald.  She helped lead her team to the IHSA Class 3A Regional Championship in 2013.  Stolfa played club soccer for coaches Alen Osmanovic and Vlatko Minic at Tri-Cities Soccer Association Premier.  She was on the ODP Illinois State Team from 2011-13 and the Midwest Regional League from 2011-14.  She played in MRL Premier 1 Division in 2013 and in 2012 helped her team win the MRL 1st Division Championship.
