HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Effingham HS where he was the 2006 IHSA Class A State Champion in cross country as a junior, posting a winning time of 14:55 on the 3 mile course... placed sixth as a sophomore and 11th as a senior running with a lower leg injury... as a track athlete placed third in the IHSA Class A championships in the 3200m and seventh in the 1600m in 2007... placed third in 3200m and 12th in 1600m in 2008.
