HIGH SCHOOL: Hails from nearby Mattoon High School and was an IHSA Class 2A state qualifier in the 1600m run... entered the state championships with the second best sectional time of 4:21.44 after he won the Mattoon Sectional... finished 8th at the state meet with a time of 4:24.00... standout cross country runner as he placed 3rd at the IHSA Class 2A state meet as a senior with a 3-mile time of 14:50.
