HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in track at Freeport HS... advanced to the IHSA Class 2A State Championships as a senior in the discus and shot put... placed sixth in the state in the discus with a finals throw of 125'2"... was 11th in the state in the shot put with a finals throw of 38'3.75"... was the silver medalist in the discus as a junior at the state meet with a finals mark of 133'4", while placing sixth in the state in the shot put... was the state champion in the discus as a sophomore winning the gold medal with a mark of 125'9" while also placing fourth in the state in the shot put...
