#Kelsey Wyss# of women's basketball and #Rich Waszak# of men's swimming have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Wyss helped the Panthers pick up a pair of wins on the road last week at SIU Edwardsville and Southeast Missouri.  She averaged 12 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.  At SIUE on Thursday she hit a 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds left to send the game to overtime.

Waszak helped the men's swim team post a second place finish at the Tunica (Miss.) Invitational over the weekend.  Waszak placed first in the 100 back stroke and swam the opening leg on the 200 and 400 medley relay teams that also placed first.
