#Abigail Schmitz# of women's indoor track and #Mick Viken# of men's indoor track were named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Schmitz won the pole vault at the EIU Mega Meet clearing 12'0.75" as she became only the second EIU athlete to clear that height.  She moved into second the EIU career top ten and currently leads the OVC in that event.

Viken also won the pole vault at the EIU Mega Meet as he cleared 17' to move into second on the Panthers career top ten.  He became on the only the second EIU athlete to clear that height.  He currently ranks 17th in the NCAA in the pole vault.
