#Melise Brown# and #Amber May# both from softball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.  

Brown has been solid at the plate for the Panthers during their current 11-game win streak.  The sophomore is hitting .515 with 11 runs scored, 2 doubles, a triple and 2 home runs.  She has also driven in nine runs.

May was solid on the mound for the Panthers going 5-0 with one save in six appearances.  She posted a 1.17 ERA with 45 strike outs in 35.2 innings of work.  During the Panthers OVC sweep of Murray State, May struck out 17 batters with only one walk.
